Sky
Just cancelled my Sky they offered me an 18 month contract £40 a month but will wait for their postal offer I put on my old man very nice man voice hahahaha !

Also asked why they offer the new Sky Q box to new customers and not loyal subscribers !!!

Now I use Kodi I possibly won't bother.

Re: SKY
Was on £75 a month for everthing

Cancelled and got kodi with sportsnation for £50 a year

Saved over £800 already and still get to watch whatever i want whenever I want but find that we have cut out channel hopping and aimlessly watching dross so have ended bad tv habits and have loads of time for useful stuff.

I do find I'm out of the conversation at work a bit and realise how much people live their life's by the tv schedule. Watching for the sake of it is finished and it feels liberating

Re: Sky
At £130 odd its still great value, but if people can get it cheaper then fuck it!

Re: Sky
I agree, it's not a rip off at all. The sport alone is decent value let alone the box sets and everything else.

Re: Sky
I don't think it's a rip off even at £100 a month. On a day by day basis it's good value for money. I'll still always try to get it cheaper though. I have Sky TV, virgin broadband plus BT Sport.

Re: Sky
yeah got my multi-room down from £75 to £42...still a f*cking rip off tho...I blame them and others for the demise of football as we knew it

Re: Sky
Cancelled properly last week, they offered some deals but just cant justify the costs....Kodi does a decent enough job without the cost

Re: Sky
I was payin £130 a month for the full package and broadband.
Cancelled the contract.
Renewed it now paying £70 with sky Q( which is the bollocks) no sky sports as I go to home games and watch all aways up the pub.
I don't understand how folk can get by without sky, mines just over two quid a day.

Re: Sky
Interesting reading the number of posts where it appears just everyone has been offered a deal.
Didn't seem too long ago it was a case of calling their bluff sometimes to get a deal.
Believe they had something like 10 million signed up with them the other year. Wonder what it is now.

Re: Sky
Mate of mine works at Sky. When I signed up a year ago I got a 35 quid a month deal for all channels. Due to expire soon they said cancel the current one and subscribe to the new deal in the birds name (same address) which is 40 quid a month for Q and UHD.

Re: SKY
Now TV just standard, not HD.
Cheap, that's how I like it.
I think my flatscreen is 11 years old, so quality is not essential for the time being.

Re: SKY
Cancelled myself recently, didn't give us much in the way of offers, then in the post a letter giving us 50% off for a year if we stay!

Happy days, in 12 months we'll do the same, gotta play the game

Wonderkid 12:39 Fri May 19
Re: SKY
Go on the chat i managed to get them down to 70% off just by keeping on saying not good enough.

They give you "this is the best offer we have ever given" and "let me speak to my manager"

Surely Sky will twig you're pulling a fast one as they'll see that a subscription was cancelled at the same address without it being a house move?
